BBC Studios Trip. Skins. Channel 4.

We went to the BBC just before Christmas, but even before we got there we met a star from the Channel 4 programme 'Skins', Kathryn Prescott [left] who plays Emily was happy to pose with our group. We had a really informative trip and we saw something of how television works. Rudina, Alex and Rachel played the Weakest Link, Alex won!

Jazmines pictures NOW

A couple of good images from Jazmine. They have a really good sense of style and composition.

Film Poster. Zalgo. Horror Movie

I like this poster from Alice for the film trailer/Digital Graphics projects, a really good use of her own photography, excellent work I think. Zalgo is a Horror/stalker movie and the poster has a nice creepy feel to it.

Fashion photography. Southgate College

Another nice image from Jema for her 'Now' photography assignment. 'Now' for Jema means fashion, a very important part of youth lifestyle. Jema has a good eye for images and has made some excellent images.

Now. Photography assignment. Southgate College.

This thought provoking image from Paulina Batorowska's and her writing about London and how we interact with each other, she saw something in this picture that says a lot about society. Very thought provoking.

Photography Assignment. NOW. Street Photography. Fashion. Southgate College.

I like this funky lady photographed by Tia Parkins for her assignment. She's looking at how people express themselves through their clothes, take a look at her work so far, NOW!

Student Photography Project NOW

Year 1 students are doing their first photography assignment called 'NOW', they can interpret it any way they like and already work has started to be produced. Jema Kamil has some excellent fashion pictures.
There will be much more to come from the rest of the group and I'll put selected work on here. I'm also going to put the best work together into a Blurb book.

Futurism Project. Induction. Southgate College. Media Production. Art and Design. National Diploma

Southgate College National Diploma Media Production and National Diploma Art and Design year 1 students and staff outside The Tate Modern museum on Bankside. We're about to go in and see the Futurism exhibition to give us inspiration for our induction assignment. Hopefully by seeing the exhibition and researching the subject later [this was the students very first day at college!]they will be able to create Photo-montage/collage posters and music videos inspired by the work.
I'll post the posters when the're done!

Here are some pictures from the first year Media Studies photography assignment. Students had to look at London from their own perspective, this produced a variety of subjects from consumerism, leisure and litter. I'll post more examples soon.
